ABOUT US
We are CONIN S.M. Tucuman. Our aim is to eradicate child malnutrition in our province (Tucumán, Argentina).
We belong to “FAMILIA CONIN”, which was founded by Dr. Abel Albino in 1993. There are 110 franchisees who treat more than 4000 children every week. More than 30500 have already been recovered.
WHY CHILD MALNUTRITION?
Child Malnutrition is a scourge which, unless it is addressed immediately, produces lifelong consequences.
Child malnutrition hinders the normal development of the brain, which during the first 14 months of life has already achieved 80% of its weight in adulthood.
Were a child not to receive the accurate amount of nutrients and the appropriate stimulation, he will develop an irreversible mental disability.
HOW WE WORK
We use CONIN Methodology, a comprehensive approach to malnutrition which comprises 3 interrelated and complementary programs:
This area is concerned with nutrition diagnosis and treatment, which involve visits to the pediatrician and nutritionist’s offices, food and nutrition workshops for the children's mothers, a healthy meal for their sons and daughters, a healthy food basket, etc.
PEDIATRICS AND NUTRITION
DESARROLLO INFANTIL
Led by psychopedagogues, early intervention specialists, and speech therapists who are responsible for strengthening family bonds and the emotional and motor development of children. The work of the clinics is reinforced from the nursery, preschools, and workshops (bathing workshop, reading time, etc.).
CHILD DEVELOPMENT
The social workers and the psychologists accompany mothers in their leading role in raising their children. This is complemented with literacy, handcraft and cooking workshops, as well as talks led by our professionals.
